Carboxymethylcellulose Eye Drops IP 1% w/v

CMC 1% w/v +SOC 0.005% w/v

Indication:
In Post Lasik, for the temporary relief of burning, irritation and discomfort due to dryness & Ocular irritation & Long lasting Protection against Dry eyes.

CMC 1% Eye Drops (Carboxymethylcellulose 1%) are mainly used for dry eyes and eye lubrication. They act like artificial tears and help keep the eyes moist.

Common Uses

  • Relief from dryness in the eyes
  • Burning or irritation due to:
    • Long screen time
    • Dust, wind, sunlight
    • Air conditioning
    • Contact lens use
  • Reducing gritty or sandy feeling in eyes
  • Temporary relief from eye discomfort after eye strain or surgery (if prescribed)

How it works

CMC forms a protective lubricating layer over the eye surface, similar to natural tears.

How to use

  • Usually 1–2 drops in affected eye(s)
  • Use as advised by a doctor or according to label instructions
  • Wash hands before use
  • Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye

Possible Side Effects

Usually mild and temporary:

  • Mild burning or irritation
  • Blurred vision for a few minutes
  • Eye itching
  • Watering eyes
