About Moxifloxacin Eye Drops

Moxifloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic eye drop used to treat bacterial infections of the eye.

It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, helping the infection clear faster while reducing redness, irritation, and discomfort.

Uses

These eye drops are commonly used for:

• Bacterial conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
• Red, irritated eyes caused by bacterial infection
• Eye discharge due to infection
• Prevention of infection before and after eye surgery
• Reducing the spread of bacterial eye infections
• Supporting faster recovery from ocular procedures

Usual Dosage

Typical dosage is:

• 1 drop in the affected eye(s)
• 3 times daily for 7 days or as directed by the eye specialist

Always complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve earlier.

How to Use

1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
2. Tilt your head back.
3. Gently pull down the lower eyelid.
4. Instill 1 drop without touching the bottle tip to the eye.
5. Close your eyes gently for 1–2 minutes.
6. If using other eye medications, wait at least 5–10 minutes between applications.

Possible Side Effects

Usually mild and temporary:

• Mild eye irritation
• Burning or stinging sensation
• Dry eyes
