Composition:
Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (Hypromellose) Ophthalmic Gel 0.3% w/w

Indication:
In For the relief of burning, irritation and discomfort due to dryness, increases Tear-film break up time.

Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) is a lubricating eye gel that forms a protective layer over the eye surface, helping keep the eyes moist and comfortable for longer periods.

Uses

This eye gel is commonly used for:

✔ Dry eye syndrome

✔ Burning sensation in the eyes

✔ Eye irritation due to:

  • Excessive mobile or computer use
  • Air-conditioned environments
  • Dust, wind, and sunlight exposure

✔ Gritty or sandy feeling in the eyes

✔ Eye fatigue and discomfort after prolonged screen time

✔ Insufficient tear production

✔ Long-lasting lubrication, especially during nighttime use

The gel acts as an artificial tear substitute and provides prolonged moisture retention compared to regular eye drops.

Usual Dosage

Typical dosage is:

1 drop in the affected eye(s)

3–4 times daily or as directed by the eye specialist

The frequency may vary depending on the severity of dryness and the doctor's recommendation.

How to Use

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
  2. Tilt your head back.
  3. Pull the lower eyelid down gently.
  4. Instill the prescribed amount of gel without touching the bottle tip to the eye.
  5. Close your eyes gently for 1–2 minutes.

If using other eye medications, wait at least 5–10 minutes before applying the next product.                                                                                                           

Possible Side Effects

Usually mild and temporary:

  • Mild stinging or burning sensation
  • Temporary blurred vision after application
  • Eye irritation
  • Mild redness

Consult an eye doctor if you experience:

  • Severe eye pain
  • Persistent redness or swelling

Important Tips

✔ Remove contact lenses before use unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

✔ Avoid touching the bottle tip to any surface, including the eye.

✔ Do not use after the expiry date.
